i miss portugal

learning to coil, cane, pattern and enjoy imperfection

what i am learning is throwing is more heartbreaking than handbuilding

the real star that was born of this new technique, this study of coil building and its infinite possibilities, was the garden galo, or a garden rooster if you don’t speak portuguese.

i recently learned on a trip to new mexico with my mom that georgia o'keeffe made pottery, but much later in her life.

i'd like you to meet my kitties, ziggy and boo. they are the heart of our household, and my little furry lovebugs.

arches national park has a special place in my heart.

i recently discovered on a trip to taos that it is also a haven for pottery.
